We wish you a Merry Christmas!
"Hospitality is the poetry of life." - Wolfgang Vorländer
Welcoming other people, giving them a warm reception and taking them in is a sign of genuine hospitality. Meeting them with warmth, understanding and a willingness to help, taking time to answer their questions and requests, also brings happiness and joy to the host.
Christmas as a festival of love contains many elements of genuine hospitality. Families come together, friends meet, even the Holy Family finally found a place to stay in a stable, albeit a meagre one.
Our aim as organizers of the "International Piano Competition for Young Pianists Kronberg" is to offer our guests, the participants and their families, as well as the audience and all those involved, warm hospitality and an open ear at all times, in addition to a rousing and attractive competition. We take our responsibility as hosts very seriously and a positive atmosphere and attentive care are very important to us!
We have formulated our values in our Code of Ethics . We want to make the stay as pleasant as possible for our admitted participants and their families and have negotiated special conditions for overnight stays including breakfast at the adjacent Vienna Hotel. The bistro on the grounds of the Casals Forum will be open during the day and participants will be provided with free snacks and drinks next to the Carl Bechstein Hall.
On request, host families are happy to accommodate participants and an accompanying adult. In exceptional cases, a subsidy towards accommodation and/or travel costs may be granted.
Hospitality also means ensuring excellent organization that makes participants and their families feel at home. After admission, each participant receives a practice schedule with individual warm-up and practice times, and there is always someone to talk to at the registration desk and during the organization.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and cozy days with your loved ones, whether as guests or hosts!
