Our supporting program is at the heart of our competition, enabling you to get to know each other, have fun together and experience music from a ganz different perspective.

Learning in a different way

Making music with your own body in "body percussion" workshops and discovering unexpected possibilities in the process promotes your musicality, your sense of rhythm and your body awareness! And it's a lot of fun!

Richard Filz will take you on this musical journey in the conference rooms of the Vienna Hotel. As a famous and renowned percussionist, he offers a wide range of possibilities for all ages. So you can take part in the workshops several times and again and again!

We will also take you to the Opel Zoo, the Rhein-Main-Therme and explore Kronberg Castle.

Your registrations are binding! It would be a shame if we organize everything and then you are not there.

There is an exception for the first prize winners and special prize winners, who play in the prize winners' concert and therefore cannot take part in booked activities.

Two supervisors will accompany you on every activity. You can also do all activities with your parents and siblings. The presence of a parent is required for minors when visiting the Rhein-Main-Therme and the Opel Zoo.

Good piano playing requires a good sense of rhythm, timing and sound! You don't just learn this on the piano!

In our "Body Percussion" workshops, you will have fun making music with your own body under the guidance of a renowned percussionist. Your musical skills will be developed and your coordination skills trained.

Something new happens in every workshop, Richard Filz also offers lots of interesting things for 18-year-olds. So sign up for as many workshops as you like!

The Opel Zoo

The zoo is a real highlight for all ages with everything your heart desires. You first get a one-hour guided tour and are then allowed to explore the zoo on your own. Great playgrounds with a climbing forest, zip line, ball pool, trampoline, cable car, slides and much more, restaurants, a petting zoo, camel and pony rides and, of course, lots and lots of animals invite you to have a great time. 

The ticket is always valid until the zoo closes in the evening. So you can stay as long as you like. 

You can take part in the excursion free of charge with parents and siblings. Children up to the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent. Two adults will also look after you during your visit to the zoo.

The Young Castle of Kronberg Castle

Kronberg Castle is just a few minutes' walk from the Casals Forum. Participants take part in the event without their parents and, as always, are accompanied by two adults.

The castle offers special events for children with the "Young Castle" concept. Depending on the weather, you will be able to enjoy either "The Battle of Kronberg" or "What Stones Tell"! Both are designed for primary school children aged 6 to 10/11.

Rhein-Main-Therme Hofheim

On Saturday afternoon, we offer parents and their children a stay of several hours in the water world of this beautiful thermal spa. It is essential that at least one parent accompanies the children, as we do not offer supervision despite having two adult supervisors and exclude all liability. Parents and siblings also receive free admission.

The thermal spa in Hofheim is about 15 minutes by car from the Casals Forum. We ask on the form whether you can arrive in your own car and drive to the thermal baths. We ask you to give other participants and their families a lift to the thermal baths if necessary and will organize this.

Please be sure to bring a swimsuit and towel!

HIGHLIGHT!

As a unique and special highlight, several 60-minute "body percussion" workshops will be offered on the days of the competition, in which the young talents in the group will be given a ganz different approach to music and rhythm. Body percussion means using your own body to produce sound and make music. This is not only a lot of fun, but also promotes a sense of rhythm, body awareness and musicality in a ganz special way.

The renowned percussionist Richard Filz from Austria has already performed at the 2, edition of our competition gave the young pianists of our competition an unforgettable experience with his workshops. During the third edition of the competition, he also offers a wide range of opportunities for all ages, so that participants can take part in his workshops several times and again and again.
