Sometimes all good things come in twos. Namely when it comes to our follow-up concerts. Both at the Hohe Mark Clinic in Oberursel and at the Augustinum senior citizens' residence in Bad Soden, our young pianists sparked storms of enthusiasm with their fantastic piano playing.
Art & Music on 24.10.2025 in Oberursel, Klinik Hohe Mark
In the clinic's beautiful church hall with its excellent acoustics, 11-year-old Yulianna Beziazychna from Ukraine, 14-year-old Yad Barzinjy from Germany and 19-year-old Tatia Abashishvili from Georgia gave a concert in a class of its own. Yulianna enchanted the audience with works by Rachmaninoff, Chopin and Prokofieff and enormously expressive and virtuoso piano playing.
Yad Barzinjy impressed not only with a wonderful interpretation of Robert Schumann's Abegg Variations, but also with an improvisation on a theme suggested by the audience, in this case "The moon has risen". The audience listened raptly to the exciting and very lively development of the opening motif and gave a thunderous round of applause.
The crowning finale was a nocturne by Chopin and a bravura piece par excellence, the Mephisto Waltz No. 1 by Franz Liszt. Tatia Abashishvili played the Nocturne with wonderful delicacy and beauty of sound. She effortlessly contrasted the diabolical and highly virtuosic Mephisto Waltz with great temperament and passion.
The concept of Art & Music once again moved the enthusiastic audience. Following the concert, Andrew Friedrich presented his deeply impressive art. This vernissage, initiated and organized by Dr. Dildei and his "Barbara and Dr. Hans-Werner Dildei Art and Culture Foundation", combines art and music in a unique way and is something ganz special. Many thanks to Dr. Dildei and the Hohe Mark Clinic for this commitment!
Prizewinners' concert at the Augustinum, 16.11.2025
The large theater hall in the Augustinum was filled to the last seat. Around 300 concertgoers had eagerly made their way to hear the four winners of the competition: Jueon Lee (14) from South Korea, Magdalena Pflüger (16) from Germany, Sebastian Rauch (18) from Germany and Tatia Abashishvili (19) from Georgia. After the younger age groups in April '25, the older age groups V to VII now presented themselves.
The audience's high expectations were not disappointed - the concert was a highly impressive and moving experience for everyone involved. The four young pianists delighted the audience with a firework display of beautiful sound, sophistication and virtuosity! The exciting and varied program left nothing to be desired, and the humorous and lively moderation by Ulrike Danne-Feldmann, who had also moderated all previous follow-up concerts, conveyed many interesting facts about the performers and works. Experience this concert again in the review in the Bad Sodener Woche!
This concert and the previous one in April were sponsored by the bank-independent Hansen & Heinrich AG from Frankfurt, which has been active in individual asset management for many years. Their motto could also have come from our competition:
We listen to you. We act in your interests. We keep our promises.
We are very happy that there are companies that take social responsibility seriously and are so committed to promoting talent and culture! They also treated the enthusiastic audience to a champagne reception after the concert. A big thank you to Hansen & Heinrich AG and the Augustinum senior citizens' residence!
We have also engaged a social media agency for this concert. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook and enjoy videos, interviews and lots of exciting moments over the next few months!
Our next follow-up concert will take place on Sunday, 07.06.2026 as part of the Weilburg Castle Concerts. Linda Yuan (DE), Stefan Szypura (CH) and Raffaello Giannini (BE) will delight the audience with their art.
We wish you a relaxing and enjoyable pre-Christmas period!
