Learn with all your senses!

Our supporting program: free, varied, exciting

Admiring the fascinating animal world of the Opel Zoo, exploring Kronberg Castle with amazed eyes, making the slides and the wave pool of the Rhein-Main-Therme unsafe and last but not least expanding your own rhythmic and musical skills with lots of fun in our "Body Percussion" workshops - this is also part of our second "International Piano Competition for Young Pianists Kronberg" from 21.03. - 23.03.2025!

"Take a good look around in life", Robert Schumann demanded in his "Musical House and Life Rules".

If you don't experience anything, you can't tell anything! Have fun together, learn from each other, make contacts and friendships, focus on togetherness - our supporting program makes it possible!

As a real highlight of our 2025 edition, we offer you, dear participants of the competition, workshops "Bodypercussion"!

Children and young people experience the world with all their senses and through lots of movement. In this way, they learn particularly effectively and sustainably. Rhythm in music is also closely linked to movement; all physical movements require the mastery of rhythmic structures.

Body percussion, the rhythmic production of sound with one's own body, hands, feet, fingers and mouth, makes it possible to experience music and rhythm from a completely different perspective. Our competition participants

  • experience their body as a sound instrument
  • expand their coordination skills
  • feel rhythm and music in a special way through whole-body movement
  • discover all this together with other young pianists in the group
  • have a lot of fun at the same time!

We are delighted to have Richard Filz, the renowned Austrian percussionist with a wealth of experience in working with children and young people, to offer various age-appropriate workshops lasting around 60 minutes. It's worth taking part more than once, because it's never the same! As with all activities in our supporting program, participants will be supervised by two experienced helpers.

We cordially invite you, dear admitted pianists, to the workshops and all the exciting activities of our supporting program! Let's go!
