The time has come! We are delighted to announce the start of the registration period for the 3rd International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Kronberg, taking place April 2–4, 2027!
REGISTRATION PERIOD
October 1, 2026 – January 16, 2027
Once again, we invite talented pianists of all nationalities, ages 6 to 19, to the Casals Forum in Kronberg, Germany, to experience a motivating and inspiring competition!
You can look forward to a fantastic venue with ideal conditions, seven age groups (each consisting of two birth cohorts), and prize money and special awards focused on promoting young talent, totaling 40,000 €.
In addition, there will be professional audio and video recordings of all performances at auditions, a livestreamed concert featuring the prize winners, individual meetings between each participant and the jury, a free supporting program, host families, free snacks and drinks, excellent organization, and a warm atmosphere.
The audience is looking forward to your wonderful performances at the public competition recitals (free admission) and the winners’ concert on April 4, 2027, at 5:00 p.m. Once again, an Audience Award worth €1,000 will be presented, and once again, the audience will be thrilled—with ears aglow and hearts full of wonder— ganz !

- an unedited video that meets the repertoire requirements
- the registration fee of €30
- a copy of your ID card or passport
- the completed registration form

Here’s a little teaser: Lufthansa, together with its partner airlines Swiss, Brussels, and Austrian Airlines, as well as United Airlines and Air Canada, will offer participants aged 12 and older and all accompanying adults up to a 10% discount on their airfare. Due to the country’s legal regulations, departure points in Japan are, to our great regret, excluded from this offer. You will receive the booking link upon registration on February 13, 2027.
