Dear friends and supporters of our competition, dear teachers and participants,
It is a special concern of mine to address you and especially our young pianists in advance with a few personal words!
I am very happy about the high number of registrations and that so many young people are passionate about playing the piano and showing us their art! It is a pleasure to listen to your playing in your videos - the level is exceptionally high!
And so, despite all the joy, there is a drop of bitterness: unfortunately, we can only hear a maximum of around 60 participants in 2.5 days. So we will not be able to admit many talented young pianists, although they play excellently for their age and truly deserve admission! This saddens me very much! I want you to know that I am thrilled with each and every one of you! Your playing and your passion touch me and I thank you and your teachers, who support you so much and teach you successfully, from the bottom of my heart!

International piano competition for children and teenagers from all over the world!
The application for the 1st International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in Kronberg, starting October 1, 2022, has now closed last Sunday, January 22, 2023.
The response to the announcement of our piano competition has been extraordinary! There is a lot of work for our jury and we are happy about it:

303 applicants applied (291 were admitted to the digital round); admission requirements can be found on the website;

Our applicants come from 33 different countries!
We would like to thank each and every application, the number of which puts the competition among the leaders of comparable events in Europe.

It is a mammoth task for our jury to sift through the submitted videos and decide on their admission by February 18, 2023. Prof. Christian A. Pohl, Prof. Claudia Schellenberger and Ulrike Danne-Feldmann will take on this task. The quality of the performances is already exceptionally high, across all age groups!
Our jury for the digital preliminary round is looking forward to the challenge!

Our wish to make the competition attractive for young artists and to create a forum to showcase their skills has come true. We are extremely pleased about this!
Now we are looking forward to the admission decisions of the jury. At the moment we expect about 60 applicants, who we will inform about their participation on February 18, 2023 on our website and in personal mails.
For the winners' concert on April 2, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
But we organizers also face a daunting task: planning the winners' concert, which will take place on April 2, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Casals Forum of Kronberg Academy. Advance ticket sales begin via "Frankfurt Ticket RheinMain"We will additionally inform you about the start of the presale in a separate newsletter and also publish the information on the website and our Facebook page.
We are already looking forward with you to a high-class concert of the 1st prize winners and special prize winners of our competition. Until 18.02.2023 we have to be patient. For the applicants as well as for us organizers. We will keep you informed.
